Sometimes people make a joke, and you should just laugh at it instead of over analyzing it, it's fun.

GID means a group ID number, that is one type of hit. SET posts tens or even a hundred different categories of HITS when the post. If you want to try to catch a good number of them, it is better to do a search panda for the requester ID, not a group panda that would only catch say, ones related to food and cooking, but would miss like 50 other categories that deal with sports or entertainment or politics or fashion, or whatever they are posting that day.

Oh you are right. I should be able to squeeze a dirt lot and a cardboard box into that budget.

YOU COULD JUST MOVE OUT OF CALIFORNIA THO.

    Lol.

Buy him a house in Idaho.

Jussayin man, if you live and work on the Internet, you could live anywhere.
Why live in one of the most expensive places in the entire US, on purpose? Lol.

I think built is probably a little too strong of a word. Lets go with "design input from..."

I feel the same way as @NBadger about it. I enjoy seeing the site succeed. It's really doing quite well I think! We do a lot of hits here ;)

No matter how many times I hear or see the data, my jaw still drops when I hear about the home values in Cali. Like I can't even comprehend how anyone saves up like a 5% down payment let alone a full 20%.

I only want to scream 30% of the time now, I'm improving!

Plus I finally get to see General Sherman, the biggest single stem tree by volume, something on my bucket list since I was a child, at Sequioa on Friday, yippppppe!

The average wage is much higher here so it works out for the most part.

Dude, Matt and I make a decent low 6 figures combined, and it doesnt even go close to as far here . I don't know how I would live on 10.50 an hour here without many roomies and a shitty quality of life.

7.25/hr doesn't even go far enough in Greenville, 10.50/hr definitely can't crack the cost of living where I am. And the income tax is higher, and the sales tax is higher, gas costs more, food costs more, etc.

I literally hyperventilate at the cost of living with how much we make, I can't even imagine someone doing it off minimum wage on their own.

In New York they do this crap where you get a mortgage that's like 60 years, so you end up dying before you pay it off and then the house is kept by the owner and they just resell it. It's messed up.

    Haha.
It was more of a response to Randomacts in particular, since an absurdly large proportion of his life is 2D.

Lol. See what I mean? You have a 3D life.

It's only like...$65k for the median household income though. Which sounds like poverty level on Cali prices.

This reminds me a lot of how I felt living in north jersey. Everything was so damn expensive and we were making craptons of money but barely getting by because it cost me $400/month to drive and park and take a train in to work. And that's not even covering the car payment and the insurance. Or rent. Oh god the rent.

But why do "fine" on 60K when you can do "well" with the same money elsewhere? Lol.
