So far I have been lucky not to get any rejections... Fingers crossed/knocking on wood/throws salt over left shoulder/runs away from black cat/doesn't wear same pair of socks two days in a row/counts from 10 backwards/holds breath for 30 sec/avoids cracks in sidewalk/doesn't have any mirrors in house/doesn't buy egg carton with a broken egg/walks backwards three steps then goes forward two... Just a few precautions I take...

No, that's right. I didn't get a bonus either, several of us didn't, just the base pay. In the intro, it basically asks something along the lines of if you have had Statistics past high school, etc. then don't complete this study. Well, I proceeded anyways because it said something specific that I definitely wasn't too familiar with. I'm not Stats master, but yeah, whether I think I know Stats well or not, whatever I learned in college is too much for this study. If you did too well in the Pre-test, they can't "teach you Stats" is how I took it and that's what that study is trying to do.

 

I don't think we're talking about the same assessment then. It was just a few questions about a single graph.

 

Yeah, I read that part and it applied to me. I also didn't take any college level math, so apparently I was just very good at guessing and got (un)lucky with my answers.

Right, except it's their fault. The phrasing they used without giving away their study was "if you've taken Statistics past high school, and specifically X", then please don't proceed with this study. I've taken Stats past high school, but X? No, it didn't ring a bell. Had they left out that additional qualifier after "high school" l and I would have bailed, but they didn't, so I proceeded.

I got my rejection reversed from the other day! So still only 1 rejection. I didn't think I was gonna hear back from him either at this point so that was nice.

Thank you, and there are some that have like 500,000 up 1 mil hits and have 20-30 rejections which is awesome, I only know of one turker that was over 2 mil hits with not many rejections.

 

I thought I was cool with 170,000 and 9 rejections, but I'm not.
