11/23 - Thxgiving Thursday!

I am still trying to get myself ready to go do some late night shopping. By getting ready I mean just sitting here eating ice cream not getting ready at all.

 

I was parking lot sitting (and reading and knitting) waiting for the kid to get off of work. I noticed the state of drivers got much worse between 930 and midnight. She confirmed that that's when the stoners started showing up. I drove through WalMart parking lot around 10pm or so, and it was emptier than a normal afternoon. Best Buy (where she works) and Dicks Sporting Goods were hopping all night. I sat near and drove past Kirkland's a lot and was so proud of myself for not going in. I was tempted to go in, pull out the credit card, go to one of the already decorated fake trees and go, "All of it. Just wrap it and put it in my car". That's when I realized I REALLY had no business shopping tonight.

 

I too ate some ice cream, and took a nap before going lol

 

I went in with a $300 limit. But most of it was a sewing machine for myself. Other than that just some random socks, a nerf gun, and some thermals for husband since he works outside all day (which wasnt even part of the black friday sale) There wasnt many people at all. And from the looks of the 100 plus tv's still sitting there walmart may not have done so hot this year. It didnt look like people bought much.

 

I won some but then I spent it all on champagne, soup dumplings, inglots eye shadow, and a fancy new hat.

It’s a really cool hat though, so I’m ok with it.

 

I kinda wondered. It really didn't seem like there were many people driving in and out of that direction much all night. I figured I was just missing the groupings (weird how that happens, the lulls and then crowds). You should have driven down to Carbondale and hung out with me! I didn't really want to shop. I wanted to people watch - possibly while drunk - and someone to share that with, and to keep me from spending money. I DO now realize that I want I backseat mattress for the Forester.
