12/29 - Frantic Friday!

I strive for that kind of simplicity. I have a fair but manageable bit of debt that's hindering me but once that's taken care of I see no reason why I can't live a life where my needs are taken care of for very little work/money.

 

It's basically an entire generation of nerds.
Kids growing up on the computer 24/7 but it's socially acceptable because it's disguised as a "phone".

 

You can always do the 5 dollar a week challenge. Save 5 dollars every week for a year.

 

We are all nerds now.

 

It's certainly strange. What wasn't acceptable when we were kids(we were only allowed to spend a max of 2 hours on the computer) is now seen as completely normal. A lot of parents also don't supervise their kids online, because said parents don't know anything about the internet that isn't on Facebook.

 

Not quite Carrie, more like Never Been Kissed! My dad had to pick me up from Junior-Senior Prom LOL.



Ah well, plenty of folks have shitty high school experiences, I'm in good company! The key is to immediately dust off your shitty high school rep the minute you move into college and never look back again. Ugly Bird? Never heard of her. Well, I didn't go by Bird at the time, but hell if you're gonna find out what I went by in high school!

There def needs to be limits using phones I think. I'm spending time with my family at the hotel breakfast area, and we are all chatting about the plans for the day, and I see a whole family just eating and looking at there phones not talking to one another. I must of told my daughter to put her phone down and enjoy the scenery that whole drive to Durango.

I don't really mind when they are on the phone in the car. If I see something cool or worth looking at I let them know. Plus whit two girls it so much quieter when their on the phone lol
