Hi, I'm kinda new to Mturk, sorta? I started turking maybe about five years ago but just months before they changed over to the current system. Already stumbling through the learning curve when the change hit I just gave up. Now I'm back to give it another shot and hoping to learn from everyone here, plus it looks like a great forum. My goal is to fill in my income gap and hoping to build up to $500 a month. Is that even still possible this late in the game? Hello. Welcome. $500 is completely achievable. Going to want to work on your numbers to help open up more work and also provide a cushion in case you get a rejection. Look for Requesters like Ben Peterson and Receipt Processing. These are two low paying requesters that pay instantly and are relatively safe. Pumping your numbers up, you are not going to be making a lot of money, but your goal should be to get over 5000 approved HITs. You can work these in between surveys or what not. Are you using any scripts at the moment? Highly recommend you install MTS, or consider something like QBC. You are going to want to also grab as many qualifications as you can. Always check QualifEye daily to make sure you snag whatever you can. You are going to also need the CR1 qual. Try and snag a StudyLab HIT and complete it. After awhile, you might get the qualification. This will open up a lot of surveys. Similar story. I started with Mturk back in 2012 - 2015. Came back at the end of 2020. At first I was grabbing whatever I could, just scraping HITs off Mturk HIT tab directly since that is what we used to do back in the day, but then I started learning how to use my scripts, found the Daily thread, and started making about $20 a day (on weekdays) which is about $500 a month (your goal).
Hi Josh and thanks for your help! Ben Peterson and Receipt Processing. I totally remember those. haha I guess I'll be starting with those because I'm just shy of 5000 hits, I'm at 4386 hits. I was just learning about quals before I quit so I will check QualifEye and also look for the CR1 qual as well. Edited to say Yes, using MTS. Couldn't do this without the scripts.
