I'm new here... "Hi"

    Good morning!

    I'm a middle school English/Language Arts teacher who has been in the classroom for 10 years. I have 2 children - 12, and 2...lol, I know! I've been looking for a way (any legal way, really) to supplement my income. Apparently, I signed up for MTurk and forgot about it; Amazon sent me a "you didn't finish your application" email the other day which made me "RE-remember" what I had been trying to do in the first place.

    I'm trying to learn the ropes and find my niche. Time wise - I don't have a lot of it, but what I do have I would like to spend wisely and make money if I can.

    Any suggestions?

    I'm sorry, there's not fast way to learn this stuff. Take look at our wiki, https://turkerhub.com/wiki/, and begin to familiarize yourself with the nomenclature and tools. When you have time, hang out in the daily forums and lurk a little, chat a little, and you'll start learning as you go!

    Hi! Welcome to TurkerHub!

    Reading is the best way that you can learn. There are so many different scripts and ways that people do things, you just have to figure out what works for you by trial and error. I have been using Mturk for over a year, but only started using TurkerHub in the past month. I have learned so much just by lurking in the daily threads. Take a look at the Script forum entry on the main page then swing by the daily discussions and read and ask questions when you need clarification on something. There are some youtube videos out there that explain the scripts too, they might help you some.

    Welcome to TurkerHub! I really suggest going on over to the daily thread and asking questions there as that's where most of the members hang out. Somebody will surely give you an answer pretty quickly. Don't be shy we were all new once and people here are extremely helpful.
